Age Mixing
Children thrive in a diverse sociocultural environment. When younger and older students freely-associate, learning accelerates. Younger students engage in more complex activities than they could with same-agers. They gain exposure to more advanced skills and knowledge and form role models.
Older students practice assuming different roles in a variety of interactional situations. They develop leadership, nurturance and a sense of responsibility for others while consolidating their own abilities through demonstration and explanation.
